MOVIE REVIEW: THE INTERNSHIP (2013)

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were not the first time they were in a single screen together. There are so many movies that they play together. They were re-united again by Shawn Levy into a comedy skit entitled The Internship.

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were not the first time they were in a single screen together. There are so many movies that they play together. They were re-united again by Shawn Levy into a comedy skit entitled The Internship.
Nick Campbell (Owen Wilson) and Billy McMahon (Vince Vaughn) are a salesman who no longer has a job. The place where they work turned out to be bankrupt and forced them to not work anymore. Neither of them knew what to do with them. Inadvertently, Billy plans to enroll for an apprenticeship to the world's largest search engine company, Google.
When they are accepted for internship or internship there, they are a team with some people who are 'outcast'. Nick and Billy and his team must also try to win the challenge given by Google to them so they can become permanent employees there.

PART II: THE INTERNSHIP
Hearing the words Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson it seems I'm not too exciting to watch their movie. Initially when I knew there was a film that concerns with a search engine of the world's largest is a biopic film founder. Therefore, I am also skeptical with the players. However, I was wrong. Apparently, this film is just a movie with setting a place in Google Company.
Therefore, what interests me is the Google Company itself. So at least, this movie made me have interest to watch it. The Internship was not a very bad thing as said by critics rotten tomatoes who only give 32% to the rating of this film. Maybe if you say cliché or cheesy, The Internship does have that formula. However, this movie still has a braided story that is so exciting to follow until the final minute of this film itself.
The Internship is a comedy cliché with a slapstick humor that has humor levels that can sometimes be striking, sometimes crisp. The Internship is also not perfect. Because there are still so many back stories that are not told well and leave many questions. Who is Billy, Who is Nick, is still told with a minimalist and not fully told?
Indeed, the film is focused on the mainstream conflict in this film. However, their side plots that have been given in the beginning and even then do not tell more clearly. Finally, I am still looking forward to what sort of solution will The Internship offer to the conflicts of each character presented at the beginning of the film itself. However, all still left hanging beautifully without any further explanation.
This is not a movie dish that carries a theme that is also serious. Remember, this is a movie with the comedy genre. Perhaps, some comedy films with such a formula is very mainstream used by most Hollywood filmmakers who want to make a comedy movie. Yet comedy movies with formulas like this one can still be successful for some people including me.
This movie is an adventure in the Land of Google is so googly eyes. Capture every uniqueness that exists in this great company. With a variety of silly behaviors, they are entertaining and not being annoying though sometimes yes. Many nice, well-captured corners that amazed me with the big company. Also with a braided story that is interesting enough to be followed not only gives a beautiful serving of the eye only.
As I said before, The Internship is not a comedy with a breakthrough story. However, The Internship has many old formulas already used by many Hollywood comedy movies. Formula like people who do not have any ability   being a hero with many conflicts that make us say 'yes, never mind’. However, sometimes such formulas still manage to keep the audience entertained. Then that is what happens when I watch this movie.
Interwoven stories that cliché, cheesy, predictable and whatever it is that makes me know this movie will run like what. Not to mention, the magical events in this movie that are beyond our logic. However, for me, come on, don’t take this movie so seriously. The Internship just wants to comfort you from the fatigue that hit you after college or work. In addition, in my opinion, The Internship is very successful in carrying out its duties. This is not a serious film that needs to make everything rational. A comedy film does have magical happenings that make it a pleasure to watch it.
The script written by Vince Vaughn and Jared Stern is indeed quite messy at the beginning of the film. However, they finally reward every minute with the many cool and silly conflicts that make us entertained watching it. Therefore, no one, if finally this film into a movie that even became Guilty Pleasure in my list. Not a perfect movie or a good movie. However, this is obviously very comforting to me.
Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn also easily produce chemistry with each other. Like the figure of Dynamic Duo that cannot be separated from each other. Indeed this movie further highlight their names both. Many names that do not have more light and become a side character. However, at least they can still portray the characters that exist in this movie pretty well. The eccentric geek characters are quite entertaining with his silly behavior.

MOVIES’ GOOD AND BAD
Good:
·         This film teaches us to keep thinking positive and keep trying
·         This movie teaches us to be ourselves better
·         Google as a company that puts great emphasis on creativity and cooperation
Bad
·         As a film comedy genre, it is less stomach churning

PART III: CONCLUSION
Two salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment (https://www.imdb.com).
This is a comedy movie that I think can be watched by various ages, because even this is just a comedy, it gives us good thing to follow. The good things are this film teaches us to keep thinking positive and keep trying, this movie teaches us to be ourselves better.
