Factors Influencing Social Interaction

Humans are social beings who need others to survive. Well, because human beings are social, there must be interaction between human being with each other. We can not just live alone without the help of others. For example, when you want to eat. We can not grow rice from seed until it becomes rice by ourselves. Not to mention if you want to eat chicken. Of course we need help from farmers to get the rice and chicken needed.
Well, talking about social, ya know what is social interaction? Social interaction is a reciprocal relationship between two people or several people. Social interaction is also influenced by several factors. Check out the factors that affect social interaction below!

1.  Suggestion
Suggestion is the giving of influence from one's view to another in a certain way. Person who is influenced by his perspective will follow without thinking. Suggestion is usually done by people who have charisma, dignity, have a big influence, or famous people in the community. One example of suggestion is when we go to doctor A then we will be recovered quickly. The presumption is a suggestion that will make doctor A become really a great doctor.

2.  Imitation
Imitation is an action that someone does to imitate things that exist in other people or idol figures. Imitation is unconsciously done by someone. This factor happened firstly in family environment. For example, children will imitate the habits of their parents, ranging from the style of speech, the way, until the style of dress. However, when the child is familiar with the world, imitation will be greatly influenced by the environment especially the school. A child, especially a teenager, will spend more time at school and socialize with his friends.

3.  Identification
Identification is a person's desire to be like someone else. Identification has a deeper influence than suggestion and imitation because, identification is done by a conscious person, of his own volition. For example, there is a famous artist admirer, then he identifies himself to be his favorite artist. From his dress style, hairstyle, behavior, or style of speech, the person will assume that he is his preferred artist.

4.  Sympathy
Sympathy is a process that occurs in a person who makes him interested in others. Sympathy can be conveyed to a person or group or formal institution at special moments. For examples are like on birthdays, school graduation, or when someone is achieving an achievement.

5.  Empathy
Empathy is the ability of a person to feel what is felt by others, such as pleasure, pain, difficulty, upset, happy, and so forth. Empathy is similar to sympathy. The difference is empathy more animated or more visible emotionally. An example is when our brother is hit by a natural disaster. We share what our brothers feel. The way we can do is by giving donation, or even go directly to the disaster place as a volunteer.

6.  Motivation
Motivation is the encouragement that a person gives to others. Motivated people will obey and implement what is motivated rationally, critically and responsibly. Examples of motivation is when teachers provide motivation to their students in order to face the exam.
